POSITION SUMMARY 

The People Operations Assistant is responsible for providing People support across all remote teammates. This role is at the heart of enhancing UpKeep’s culture and ensuring a consistent employee experience. 


This is a fully remote role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Remote Culture
- Lead all employee engagement and culture programming including but not limited to: Wednesday Workshops, All Hands, remote bonding events, and other organized activities and departmental events as required. 
- Enhance UpKeep’s remote workplace experience by driving connection initiatives that foster a positive and vibrant team culture, with a focus on culture activities in Slack.
- Administer the culture budget, ensure both budgets are being accurately tracked and all expenses are being processed on time and within policy. Manage all budget inquiries and ensure budgets are being used fiscally responsible across the organization.
- Own the Company Intranet; including maintaining up to date materials with a focus on employee experience and self service awareness, and engaging each department to manage accuracy.
- Manage shipment of reward redemptions from our company recognition platform, including company swag orders.
- Maintain Intranet and other online resources.

  • People Team Support
- Collaborates with Talent Acquisition team to facilitate internal and external recruitment efforts, and partners with hiring managers to ensure an effective process
- Supports onboarding coordination, ensuring that all new teammates feel welcomed and experience an equitable onboarding regardless of where they are located in the world. 
- Supports the management, data entry, and payment processing in our contract management system. 
- Supports in the development of People-related policies, processes, and procedures. 
- Responds to employee inquiries in a timely manner, directing to the appropriate party as needed. 
- Performs additional job duties, as requested 


EXPERIENCE
  • Experience working on a global, remote People & Culture team.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, iterative environment. Open to changes in focus and direction as the business requires
  • Ability to work independently; a self-starter.


KNOWLEDGE 
  • You’re highly adept in Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and other communication technologies.
  • You enjoy connecting with people and bringing teams together. 
  • You maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence, and exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
