Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains Coder requests and Op note requests queues.
- Sends requested information to Hospital/ASC sites while abiding by HIPPA constraints.
- Prints and uploads records to billing system.
- Emails Providers for documentation deficiencies, with clear and concise verbiage.
- Applies for online access to Hospital EMR.
- Faxing requests/information to correct counterpart.
- Scans correspondence into patient accounts and links images.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience in same/related field
- CPC-A or CPC, preferred but not required
- Understanding of Medical terminology
- Upholds patient confidentiality
- Ability to understand and work in multiple systems
- Basic understanding of how to read Medical records
- Must be self motivated in a high paced production environment
- Skill in verbal and written communication
- Skill in gathering and reporting information
- Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems
- Must have a pleasant disposition and be a team player
